PHONOPOETICA
This will be a generative, interdisciplinary workshop for engaging language as a sonic material. Using the voice as a primary vehicle for poetry, students will revel in the visceral and the embodied as a basis for the production of language. Performers, writers and novices will dimensionalize their practice by considering speech and vocalization as a form of writing. For all who are drawn to the voice as material for scripts, scores, and stanzas – who wish writing to be improvisational and performance to be poetry. We welcome applications from participants of all levels of experience, from all backgrounds and across all disciplines.
Application deadline: Sunday 22 March 2026
